David
Demaree is a founding member of Demaree & Seitz, LLC, where his
practice focuses primarily on estate and elder law matters as well
as tax and estate planning matters for closely held business owners.
In addition
to advising clients with respect to wills, trusts, powers of attorney,
and living wills (advance directives), Mr. Demaree has developed
and implemented sophisticated family-wealth transfer plans and succession
plans for family and closely held business owners, including the
preparation of insurance and real estate trusts, family limited
partnerships and LLC’s.
Mr. Demaree
has successfully represented clients in both contested and friendly
guardianship and conservatorship court proceedings and routinely
advises executors and other fiduciaries in all aspects of estate
administration matters.
Mr. Demaree
has considerable experience counseling closely held businesses and
non-profit organizations with respect to general corporate and tax
issues.
Mr. Demaree
has written and spoken on a number of legal and business issues,
including tax issues related to closely held businesses and their
owners, and international business issues and laws, and compensation
planning for international executives.
