Planning:
Preserving and protecting our client's wealth for them and their heirs

Estate
Administration: When a loved one passes on, the survivors
are left with settling the estate. This settlement process generally
involves the Surrogate Court for the county where the decedent resided
at the time of death. Probate is the legal process by which a person's
debts are paid and assets are distributed upon his or her death.
The legal entity that owns the decedent's assets until they are
distributed is an "Estate". Estate administration includes
the probate process as well as the non-probate transfers of the
decedent's assets. The probate and administration of estates could
be a complex and time consuming process requiring knowledgeable
legal and tax counsel to guide the estate administrator(s) through
the process. We administer estates from the probate of the will,
through the collection of the decedent's assets, payment of liabilities,
preparation and filing of estate tax returns, and the distribution
of property to beneficiaries. We administer estates from the probate
of the will, through the collection of the decedent's assets, payment
of liabilities, preparation and filing of estate tax returns, and
the distribution of property to beneficiaries.

Law: This legal field concentrates on the legal, financial,
social, and health care needs of one specific sector of society:
the elderly. It is a law practice that is built on compassion, care,
and concern for older clients. As people get older, they are faced
with difficult and important decisions regarding their healthcare
and our financial well-being. We can help you plan for both the
present and the future through the use of wills, trusts, powers
of attorney, living wills, and health care directives. We have experience
dealing with concerns that are unique to the elderly such as: conservatorships
and guardianships, "lifetime planning" for financial and
medical management in case of incapacity, social security benefits,
financing nursing home care, grandparent visitation rights, elder
abuse and medicaid claim hearings.
